Quality Assurance Manager

D3 is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager that will be directly involved in ensuring the quality of our enterprise security software products and tools. This person will work closely with our development, support and vendor quality assurance teams to establish systems and processes that ensure that software is tested thoroughly and effectively. To meet D3’s challenging development schedules and operational requirements, this position requires a highly motivated individual comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment. The successful candidate will be customer oriented, results driven and passionate about building a cost efficient set of applications that meet the company’s growth and customer experience requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively grow, manage and lead the quality assurance team
- Leverage various teams and resources as necessary to maximize efficiency
- Build relationships with development and test teams to evolve and improve quality assurance
- Drive the development and implementation of more mature quality assurance processes, methods and tools
- Motivate, mentor and collaborate with members of all technical teams
- Optimize quality assurance planning and execution to support trade-off decisions between cost, schedule and quality
- Represent the QA team in cross-functional meetings for release planning and system enhancements
Qualifications:
- Multiple years experience as a QA Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Software Test Manager or related position managing technical teams with an ongoing desire to be hands-on driving project execution and change
- Experience leading a quality assurance team and developing quality assurance strategy is highly preferred
- Experience with quality assurance for large scale enterprise systems development, especially web related systems, in .NET Framework, .NET Compact Framework, C#, MS SQL 2000/2005/2008, HTML/DHTML, XML, Javascript, or related software stack
- Configuration experience with Windows 2003/2008, MS SQL 2005/2008, Windows Mobile 5/6, IIS 6/7, ASP.NET 2
- Being able to read C#, T-Sql, Javascript, Html/Xml will definitely be a big asset
- Experience with all phases of software product development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, specifications, development, test, and product release
- Degree in Computer Science and/or 7+ years related work experience
- Experience with different development and test methodologies is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication as well as excellent leadership
- Passionate orientation and attention to customers
- Prior start-up experience
- Strong learning skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment
