What is D3 Incident Reporting?
D3 Incident Reporting is a web-based enterprise software system, designed to permit
reporting, tracking, escalation, analysis and resolution of incidents of any
kind, in mid to large-sized organizations.
Who Uses D3 Incident Reporting?
D3 Incident
Reporting has been successfully deployed in a wide variety of industries,
including energy and utilities, manufacturing, financial services, higher
education, health care and biomedical. The Incident Reporting system is fully
configurable, designed for adaptation to all vertical markets, and several
different functional areas of an organization.
Specifically, D3 customers can leverage the Incident Reporting platform
to facilitate information sharing between Corporate Security, Loss Prevention,
Environmental Health & Safety and Human Resources departments, where
applicable.
Why Choose D3?
The D3
Incident Reporting system uses fully configurable web forms to capture and
analyze pertinent data from all facets of an incident.
During configuration, D3 provides industry
best practices as a starting point, and then guides the client through the
customization process, resulting in a professionally tailored solution.
Access Privileges & Information Sharing
Airtight
access privileges capabilities allow system administrators to restrict access
to both information and functionality, based on group, role and business unit
membership, as well as individual settings.
Certain types of information can be widely shared and distributed, while
others are tightly restricted to an appropriate audience.
D3 Incident Reporting is integrated with a powerful workflow
engine that uses administrator-defined triggers to initiate pre-configured
workflow scenarios, automating day-to-day processes and internal procedures. Workflow
utilizes “if-then” scenarios for managing approvals, escalations, reminders,
notifications and organizational processes. Utilizing a visual configuration
wizard, the Workflow functionality automates numerous tasks that would
otherwise require manual completion.
D3 Incident Reporting is but one module of an integrated
umbrella application called
D3 Virtual Security Operations Center (vSOC).
The Incident Reporting module integrates closely with Dispatch, E-Alerts,
Case Management and Tasks modules. Both E-alerts (a public and potentially
anonymous reporting tool) and Dispatch provide the ability to escalate records
into the Incident Reporting system.
Incident Reports can be included in Case Files as part of the
investigative process, and can be the basis for assigning tasks such as
interviews or CCTV reviews. For more information on these other modules please visit their respective product
pages.
Scalability & Low Cost of Ownership
All D3 software is web-based, meaning that once it is hosted
on a single central server it immediately becomes accessible anywhere in the
world, using only a standard web browser and a live internet connection.
Furthermore, D3’s web-based systems do not
require any type of download on the client machine. This centralizes maintenance and upgrades to
an individual machine, drastically reducing the potential cost of ownership and
the strain on IT resources.
The Incident Reporting system captures a lot of valuable
data, which can be very powerful for managerial decision making, when analyzed
appropriately.
vSOC provides an ad-hoc
reporting tool to facilitate that analysis, allowing managers to generate
custom reports in minutes using ad-hoc criteria. This tool provides several output formats and
filters, and can summarize data at a very high level, all the way to the most
granular levels, for specific analysis.
D3 Incident Reporting is available
both on the desktop PC and in its mobile version on a Pocket PC device.
